Psychodynamic Therapist MBACP (Accred)

I am a qualified, accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and also a member of the EMDR Association UK. I offer both open-ended and time-limited psychodynamic therapy and EMDR. I work with clients to explore their inner worlds, to seek a better understanding of their inner life, thoughts, desires and emotional landscape. Together we work to develop a thoughtful approach to difficult and sometimes painful aspects of experience.

Experience and Expertise

•    BACP Accredited (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

•    Member of EMDR Association UK

•    Psychodynamic therapy (open-ended or short-term)

•    EMDR Therapy

•    Sessions In person, online or via phone

I have experience of working with a wide range of people undergoing prolonged or acute periods of mental or emotional distress. Some of the issues I have worked with include: anxiety, depression, life transitions, obsessive compulsive thoughts and behaviours, gender identity, LGBTQI+, neurodiversity, sexuality, trauma and attachment styles that impact negatively on clients’ relationships.

I work on a weekly basis with individual adults who are seeking to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and overcome obstacles that are holding them back from accessing a sense of authenticity and fulfilment in life.

I seek to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through our work together, we will examine how past experiences and relationships have shaped your current patterns of behavior and identify any unconscious beliefs or emotions that may be contributing to your current struggles. I believe that becoming better acquainted with our unconscious conflicts can help us have a kinder more generous relationship to ourselves, to acquire an understanding of some of the thoughts or behaviours that trouble us, and therefore to gain agency in our lives.
